In the beautiful city of Nicosia, Cyprus, from March 18 to 21, 2025, the first Transnational Meeting was held as part of our project. This project, which began in February 2025 and will run until September 2026, is supported by the Agency for Mobility and EU Programs under Erasmus+ Key Action 2.
The meeting brought together the project team members from four partner organizations: Nina and Sofia from our host organization YEU Cyprus, Nikolina and Manuela from Studio B, Saša and Vojislav from Svetlost and Juan Jesus and Magdalena from Erasmiau.
The meeting provided an opportunity for all partners to get to know each other better, discuss key project activities, and coordinate further work. Through workshops and discussions, the focus was on developing the DEOR strategy (Dissemination, Exploitation, and Outreach), which will ensure wide visibility of the results and their practical use in communities. During the meeting, we created and completed the DEOR strategy—a plan for effective dissemination of results and engagement of target groups; defined the visual identity and communication strategy with a clear style and methods to strengthen interaction with the public; shared roles and created an implementation plan with detailed steps and responsibilities for each partner for the next phases.

This meeting was crucial for laying the foundations for future collaboration. The exchange of experiences and ideas among partners enabled the creation of common priorities, which will be crucial for achieving the project’s goals—strengthening youth resilience to extremism and promoting a culture of dialogue and inclusivity. We also defined steps for implementing Participatory Action Research (PAR). Through this process, we will explore young people’s views on violence, social divisions, and ways to foster peace. The insights gained will form the basis for developing innovative educational “escape rooms” and digital resources, ensuring they directly address the real needs of young people and have maximum social impact.
We are very much looking forward to implementing the project activities and believe that this project has excellent potential in creating peaceful societies that use non-violent conflict resolution and enable post-conflict dialogue. The combination of interactive tools and the development of media literacy will allow us to promote tolerance, inclusion, and peaceful conflict resolution among young people across Europe, encouraging them to become voices of change in their communities. With this kick-off meeting, we have entered the active phase of implementation with clearly defined guidelines and enthusiasm to contribute to building more peaceful and inclusive societies. Follow us on our further pathways to peace!
